An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an award winning and innovative Housing Association and Newydds’ dynamic Housing Team. We are recruiting two Housing Officers to oversee our income collection and estate/tenancy management services.
Income Collection
The rents team contact tenants from their first missed payment and manage arrears cases right through to eviction stage. Using their knowledge of arrears recovery, payment arrangements and court applications, they will also represent the Association in court ensuring all options for income maximisation are explored.
Estate/Tenancy Management
The tenancy team manage individual patches of approximately 700 properties and are responsible for signing up new tenants, mutual exchanges, home visits, estate inspections, managing anti-social behaviour cases along with general tenancy and estate management. Providing a front line service to our tenants and using their knowledge of Housing law they will respond to queries around succession, assignments, joint/sole tenancies and tenancy enforcement.
Experience or a good knowledge of estate and tenancy management, housing benefits, bedroom tax, DHP and proposals under universal credit and welfare reform are essential for both of these roles. The right attitude is just as important to us as the skills and experience you bring. We are looking for team players who can provide support and cover where required across the Housing department and who have a customer service ethos and will go the extra mile.

Accountabilities

 Support clients in making their own choices and decisions to the maximum of their capability, and ensure that the needs and wishes of clients are fully considered in any decision relating to them.

 To provide therapeutic and personal care to our service user group.

 To attend any scheduled training, team meetings or supervisions.

 To comply with the general cleanliness requirements of the unit.

 To complete any designated tasks effectively.

 To fulfil the requirements of the organisation in relation to being present for all shifts allocated and following time keeping expectations.

 Follow and understand all company policies and procedures.


The above list of duties is not exhaustive and may be modified from time to time in accordance with the development of the service and the employee.

Normal working week is 37.5 hours worked flexibly Monday to Sunday. Shifts will include days, evenings, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.
