Salary / Benefits: -
• Expected to be mid £20’s but highly dependent on the person
Job Elements: -
• My client are looking for a candidate with really strong technical knowledge of electronics who wants to move into a commercial role.
• It is envisaged that this training period will be 1-2yrs during which time they will shadow the account managers and learn the financial aspects of the business (costings, quoting, commercial terms etc) and how to handle a customer facing role.
• After the training period it is envisaged that this will develop into an account manager with growing account responsibility as knowledge and skills increase.
The ideal candidate will have:
Either:
• A graduate level educated engineer who has been working in the electronics industry (process, design, development)
Or:
• A time served technician/engineer from with the electronics/PCB manufacturing – most likely working in production and really understanding the production process
And:
• Desire to move into a commercial function
• Ambition to understand the drivers behind successful manufacturing business
• Well spoken
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn
• Excellent technical skills
