IC Test Engineer (Ref. WM 2231) South Wales £30 - £45K

Our clients are part of a major international manufacturing company whose global presence is both widespread and diverse. They currently have a permanent opportunity for a an IC Test Engineer to join them as soon as possible

Main Duties

• Assisting with the transfer of IC test solutions from overseas Design Centres to a UK site

• Programming in C.

• Mixed signal IC testing and test debug and fault-finding

• Statistics, data analysis and SPC, test time reduction

• Qualification of new test solutions, debugging parts with process / design marginalities

Candidate requirements

• Likely to have spent at least 5 years engineering solutions in the electronics industry either within a design / development role, or a manufacturing environment

• Qualified to degree level in an engineering subject, probably electronic / electrical, or physics

• Must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of electronics and integrated circuits, the principles and practice of test, and have a good working knowledge of ATE

• An understanding of the wafer-probe environment would be an advantage
