Job Elements: -
• To lead, manage and be responsible for all areas of engineering activities and implementation of appropriate engineering standards to drive continuously improving manufacturing performance, secure plant integrity, reliability and contribute to delivering annual plan.
• To implement and continuously improve a cost effective maintenance regime within the maintenance strategy.
• To contribute to the development and implementation of the manufacturing improvement plan for the area.
• To champion continuous improvement activities e.g. (failure analysis, problem solving, benchmarking, engineering best practice, lean thinking, etc.).
• To ensure that changes to plant, processes, procedures and organisation are appropriately risk assessed in line with the management of change process.
• To operate within the senior engineering team in order to develop and implement a co-ordinated engineering strategy.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Ideally of Chartered Engineer status with a recognised institution.
• At least 7 years engineering experience and a comprehensive knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
