A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Receptionist to join a legal firm. With over 60 years’ experience, they are one of the longest established firms in South Wales. Based in Talbot Green (CF72), the successful Receptionist will earn a salary between £10,192 - £13,650, depending on experience. 

As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for managing the firm’s reception efficiently and thoroughly and also ensure that client care is treated as the utmost priority.  Reporting to the Managing Partner, the main duties of the Receptionist will include:
  • To manage the reception area within the office to a high professional standard
  • To answer all calls to the office promptly, transferring callers to the appropriate departments or taking sufficiently detailed messages
  • To manage fee-earners diaries and ensure that all staff are aware of key appointment dates and to deal with routine matters, correspondence and queries on own initiative
  • Arranging appointments with clients
  • Arranging outside visits, e.g. prisons, hospitals, home visits
  • To work at all times in accordance with the policies and practices defined within the Office Manual and to liaise with the Practice Manager regarding suggested improvements to any aspect of the quality system
  • To assist as necessary with other duties commensurate with the post e.g. filing, photocopying, faxing, etc
  • Manage the office archiving procedure and liaise with the archive supplier day to day
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience as a Receptionist and must possess the following key skills qualities:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Outstanding telephony Skills
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Previous experience of case management systems
  • Operational knowledge of a law firm
