General Assistant – Catering & Housekeeping

Salary: £14,211.45 p/a

Hours: 33 hours

Location: Sport Wales National Centre, Sophia Gardens, Cardiff

We have an exciting role within our busy Catering & Housekeeping Team and are currently recruiting for a General Assistant to join us.  In this role, you will undertake all Food Delivery, Storage, Preparation and Kitchen Operation tasks (Kitchen Porter) as trained, so that high standards of Food Safety and Health and Safety legislation are achieved.  You will be required to undertake all cleaning duties as trained, and in accordance with Sport Wales Food Safety Management System (FSMS).

Ideally you will already have Food Safety Level 2 qualifications but this is not essential as training will be provided

As this role is Customer facing, you will be required to comply with any customer service queries: e.g. dealing with customer comments or queries/complaints.

As part of this role, you may be asked to carry out Housekeeping duties as required.

Please see below the hours that you will be required to work:

  • Sunday to Friday 2:30pm – 8:30pm = 5.5 hours per shift. It would be possible to split this between a job share.

This is a standard General Assistant role, carrying out all the duties of the job description.
